All Country

All Country

My neighbor shot my dog, my chicken and my horse,
My wife poisoned me, then left with the guy, of course.
I woke up alone, with my head in a spin,
Thinking 'bout the mess, all the trouble I’m in.

My car broke down as I was leaving this town,
Hitched a ride to the airport, but fate brought me down.
I was late for my plane, so I was left on the ground,
Just another sad story in this lost and found.

Every day’s a struggle, can’t catch a break,
Life’s one big heavy heartache, how much more can I take?
From the barn to the bar, I keep singing my blues,
In this country song, there’s nothing left to lose.

Spent my last dollar on a whiskey shot,
Tried to drown my sorrows, but they just won’t stop.
Rain’s pouring down on this dirt road I roam,
I'm stuck in this here mud, all alone

My neighbor shot my dog, my chicken and my horse,
My wife poisoned me, then left with the guy, of course.
But I'll keep on singing, through the mess and confusion,
‘Cause a country tune is just the story of life's delusion.
